Is sprint in this area?

i was just browing nextels website, and it said type in zip code for whatever phone is best for you, and it came up with a phone.

Which made me wonder, if sprint was in this area?

Also, if not, nextel wouldn't work here then would it? I know there's one in kingsport as well

We're primarily Alltel and Verizon around here (even those have sketchy service).

It IS in the tri-cities area though.

everytime im in the area my phone works.......most recently was driving down to NC on memorial day

But have you used it inside Wise county and actually gotten service- that's the question. Service you can get on the interstates close isn't the same as inside this hole that is Wise County.

I have that also, but there is no local service from just outside Gate City to Norton and beyond. Once you get past the Gate City by-pass, the "digital roaming" sign lights up. Other than that, Sprint has great service once you get away from western Scott county, Lee and Wise.
Went to Hawaii week before last via Charlotte and Phoenix, and had service almost everywhere I went, including Hawaii.
